With a small team bootstrapping a documentary, in the midst of creating a pilot episode while pitching the show is like building a car and driving it at the same time. Given the show is centered around beer, and generally speaking, people respond well to beer, we used this to our advantage to garnish interest.
We designed a show branded 6 pack of beer and hand selected beers that represented the artists/ breweries attached to the show to fill it. In each pack, we would custom design a label to give a personal touch. Both the 6 pack carrier and the custom beer label had a unique QR code that would take users to their own personalized show deck. What a gift!
This strategy won our team an American Advertising Award in March of 2025 for Guerrilla Marketing. What's next for this award-winning documentary?!
